Water Filtering SystemA water filtering system is a lifetime investment that will yield great returns

By purchasing a water filtering system you are ensuring that your water will always be safe, regardless of what happens at your water treatment plant.

A few years ago, I lived in Northern Colorado. Our water was always a very high quality, at least that’s what everyone said. We were told that we didn’t need a whole house water filter system. One day I got a glass of water to drink from our faucet. I started to drink the water, and I had to spit it out in the sink. The chlorine smell was overwhelming and the taste was…YUK! That day, I wished I’d have bought a water filtering system.

I got on the phone and called the City water department, and lodged my complaint. They told me that they would look into it, and let me know what they found out. Well, to my surprise, they called me back a few hours later. It seems someone had left the valve on a tank of chlorine turned on. I guess this tank was a second tank, so the amount of chlorine was doubled. They turned the tank off, and all was well. That’s the day I decided that I needed to get my own water filtering system.

I am sure that these little mistakes happen quite often. Way more often than they would like you to know about. And even when things are running perfect, there are still questions about safety. This is why you should check out a water filtering system.

October 4th, 2010. The Citizen, Auburn, NY – “Trihalomethanes are a disinfection byproduct,” said Eileen O’Connor, director of Cayuga County Environmental Health Services. “When chlorine is added to clean the water it reacts with organic material in the lake water and causes these chemicals to form. The longer the chlorine is in contact with the water the longer it has to form more of these chemicals.”

“According to the EPA’s website, trihalomethanes, or THMs, are a family of chemicals that include chloroform and bromoform. While some studies have shown an increased risk for developing cancer in lab animals, others have been inconclusive.”

Now, I am concerned that some of the studies that have been done, are inconclusive as to whether or not this chemical increases the risk of cancer. But the studies that do show an increased risk, scare me.

A water filtering system will remove the chlorine from your water

This will significantly reduce the trihalomethanes your family will be subjected to. A whole house water filter system is needed to make sure that the water you use, is safe.

Right now the cheapest, safest way to transport water to your house that is safe to use, is to use chemicals in the treatment process. Many of these chemicals have saved millions of lives by reducing waterborne diseases like typhoid, Amoebiasis, Cryptosporidiosis, Cyclosporiasis, Giardiasis and probably a hundred others. That is why a water filtering system is so important. It is important to your family’s health. With a little searching, you can find the perfect water filtering system, before you need it.

Whole House Water FiltrationWhole house water filtration is not just for emergencies

You don’t have to wait until your city issues a boil order for your water, or until they find a pathogen. Whole house water filtration can protect you and your family, every day of the year.

It’s true that a whole house water filters can set your mind at ease in the event that someday your city issues a boil order. It might even save your, or a loved one’s, life. But the real value comes from what whole house water filtration does for you every day.

With whole house water filtration you won’t have to worry as much about water problems. Problems like turbidity and chlorine. Quality whole house water filtration will automatically take care of those problems. Problems like when they flush the water lines.

Where I live once a year they go around and open all of the fire hydrants, one at a time. This burst of pressure flushes all the gunk out of the water lines. You can usually tell when they are doing it, because your tap water is discolored. When you look into the toilet, you’ll think someone forgot to flush. Now you won’t see this if you are already using whole house water filtration.

This gunk stays suspended and comes out of your faucet for 5-7 days. The water tastes kind of funny, and is no longer crystal clear. It may even be cloudy. With a good Whole house water filtration system, you won’t even know the next time they flush the lines, unless you happen to be watching them.

Quality whole house water filtration systems…

will remove turbidity and chlorine from your water. You should notice a big difference in your skin and your hair by showing with chlorine free water.

But when you turn on your faucet, you are not just getting cool refreshing water. You are also getting the chemicals that they use to treat your water. Chlorine is one of the main chemicals used to treat drinking water. So when you turn that faucet on, you are getting water, and chlorine vapors. But there is even more to it than that. When you mix chlorine with water, the chlorine reacts with the organic materials in the water to form dangerous, carcinogenic Trihalomethanes.

Dr. Joseph M. Price, MD, states in Moseby’s Medical Dictionary, “Chlorine is the greatest crippler and killer of modern times. It is an insidious poison”.

In 1992 a study was done by the researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. They found that people that regularly drink water containing high levels of chlorine by-products have a greater risk of developing rectal and bladder cancers. In fact the researchers went on to say that 18% of all rectal cancer cases and 9% of all bladder cancer cases are associated with the long term consumption of these by-products. Remember, chlorine is easily removed by using  whole house water filtration .

Health Freedom News, January/February 1987 – “The drinking of chlorinated water has finally been officially linked to an increased incidence of colon cancer. An epidemiologist at Oak Ridge Associated Universities completed a study of colon cancer victims and non-cancer patients and concluded that the drinking of chlorinated water for 15 years or more was conducive to a high rate of colon cancer.”

Isn’t it about time you started protecting your family with your own whole house water filtration system?
